Also on Thursday September 25 is a new addition to the festival lineup – the St. Clair Jazz All Stars Concert. We're excited to present a special fundraising concert at St. Matthew's United Church that promises to be a fantastic event. The church has incredible acoustics that will enhance the music by some of Toronto's foremost jazz musicians.Trombonist Mei Kelly likes sharp suits and plays a sweet tune. He's a permanent member of the National Jazz Award-winning ensemble Kollage.Trumpet player Kevin Turcotte is a major talent, having recorded some 18 albums and toured and recorded with the elite of Canadian jazz.PianistRobbi Botos has made his mark on the Canadian jazz scene with notable performances that include opening up for Bela Flek, Jean-Luc Ponty and Stanley Clarke at the International Toronto Downtown Jazz Festival 2005. And, he has shared the stage with Oscar Peterson at the prestigious Stravinski Hall in Montreaux, Switzerland.Bassist Arty Roth is a Toronto-born jazz musician, active composer, bandleader, performer and educator in the Canadian and international jazz communities.DrummerDaniel Barnes is a composer and producer. He has performed and recorded with the top echelon of Canadian jazz artists including Holly Cole, Joe Sealy, Jane Bunnett, Hilario Duran, Molly Johnson, Richard Underhill, Jake Langley and many more.Baritone saxophone playerKenny Kirkwood is nationally acclaimed for his artistry.In addition to receiving a Juno Award in 1995 for best jazz recording and four Juno nominations since then, he has gained a reputation over the last decade as a unique bandleader and educator. Vocalist Ben D'Cunha's extensive experience in performance and recording spans more than a quarter century. He specializes in voice and piano, conducts and writes his own lyrics.
